The new 20-piece collection, set to drop on February 13th, showcases the unique perspectives and talents of five talented Black designers: Daveed Baptiste, LaTouché, Igdaliah Pickering, Waina Chancy, and Nicole Benefield. Each designer has reimagined a classic Gap denim silhouette through their own distinctive style, resulting in statement silhouettes that are both bold and beautiful. From Haitian-American artist Baptiste's ocean-inspired designs to Brooklyn-born Benefield's thoughtful, tailored construction, every piece is a testament to the power of creativity and self-expression.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion
Gap's partnership with Harlem's Fashion Row dates back to 2019, when the two organizations first joined forces to support Black and brown designers. Since then, they have worked together on initiatives that extend beyond product, including awarding over $500,000 in scholarships to fashion programs at Historically Black Colleges and Universities. This commitment to inclusivity and access is a testament to the impact that can be made when industry leaders prioritize diversity and creativity.

A Partnership Built on Trust and Collaboration
According to Brandice Daniel, CEO and founder of Harlem's Fashion Row, what makes this collaboration successful is the ability for designers to authentically reinterpret an iconic brand while Gap connects them with new audiences. 'Denim evolves when new voices are given the opportunity to lead,' she says. 'What makes this partnership truly work is the creative ownership that comes from giving designers the freedom to express themselves.'
